looking back: berlin

As the rain smashes into the windows and I’m gearing up for a new semester of school, my thoughts frequently turn to memories of springtime in Europe. Three years ago this March, I was making my way, alone, through eight countries in (mostly) western Europe. The farthest east I travelled was Berlin and I fell in love. I adored taking the u-bahn and alighting in different neighbourhoods, relying on my sense of adventure to guide me. The weather was perfect and I found myself imagining a new life in Berlin – residing in a cozy apartment in a pre-war building, buying second-hand furniture at the flohmarkt am Mauerpark and spending my evenings eating currywurst and drinking Berliner Weisse.

As I’ve spent the majority of this rainy afternoon reflecting on my time in Berlin, I thought I would share some of my favourite photos I took while I was there.
